Our Thoughts on Gifts

Jim and I are very fortunate. Our needs and wants are fairly modest, and our means are sufficient to cover them. The only thing we always need is more time spent with friends, family, and doing things we love like hiking. In other words, we have pretty much all the things we need. If we want or need something, we buy it.
If you want to give us a gift, here are things which are always welcome:
- A meal with you!
- An activity with you, like a hike, snowshoe, movie, or other outing
- A photo of you, or of us, taken by you
- A bottle of wine, red preferred
- A gift certificate for Peet's coffee
- For Jim, a gift certificate to Hill's Flat in Colfax, or to REI
- For me, a gift certificate at REI, or for yarn from Auburn Needleworks, or from KnitPicks or Webs
- For either of us, a gift certificate to Amazon.com, or for Camp 20, the coffeehouse in Colfax, for the Colfax Theater, or to a local nursery
We would also appreciate a donation made in our names to groups whose goals we support, like the Nature Conservancy, the Placer County Open Space Trust (Placer Legacy project), The Sierra Nevada Conservancy (new), the Placer County Trust Fund for Animals, or the Hospice of the Foothills, in Grass Valley.
Thanks for your generous thoughts - most important to us is the time we spend with you.
